ORIGINAL NAZI PHILATELIC 1936 OLYMPIC GAMES POSTAGE STAMPS ON REGISTERED COVERS |
On this USMBOOKS web page we are offering four original Third Reich registered covers or envelopes with Deutsches Reich Olympische Spiele 1936 postage stamps designed by Max Eschle for the 1936 Olympic Games. The envelopes were all sent to stamp collector Leonhard Berger of Karlsruhe and have event cancelations from the Olympic Stadium and Olympic Village in Berlin, the Olympic sailing venue in Kiel and even the very rare Olympic Chess venue in Munich. All are complete with the original red border registration sticker in the lower left corner. |
SCHACH-OLYMPIA MÜNCHEN 25 AUGUST 1936 |
| The empty envelope above has all eight official Deutsches Reich Olympische Spiele 1936 postage stamps and four rare 35 mm round event cancelations from the Schach or Chess Olympia in Munich dated 25 August 1936. The envelope was carefully opened along the top edge and inside we found the original registration receipt (shown right) which also features the 1936 Olympic chessboard event cancelation. Condition exactly as shown. |

| This envelope has all eight official Deutsches Reich Olympische Spiele 1936 postage stamps and four 35 mm round event cancelations from the XI Olympia Segeln of Sailing venue at Kiel dated 14 August 1936. This flap on the back of this envelope was carefully opened, condition exactly as shown. |
