| This is an absolutely original empty stamped steel case or container measuring 5-1/2 x 15 x 19 inches that originally held 30 Ei-Handgranaten model 1939 or model of 1939 Egg Hand Grenades. It is painted Afrikakorps tan and marked on the left end with the contents and on the right end with the words für Tropen (for the tropics). This container IS NOT REPAINTED or repaired in any way. Inside and out it still bears its original Afrikakorps color. It was removed from an attic in Germany in July 2005 where it had sat since 1943. When we got it in Germany, it still contained two original Afrikakorps gas masks with their hoses and canisters. |

| Stamped into the metal of the bottom half below the words 30 Ei-Handgranaten 39 are the letters BPO41 and an eagle and swastika above the letters WaA54. This is a museum piece for someone who values originality over repainted, tricked-up Wehrmacht field gear. We cant imagine where you would find another! It would be a perfect companion piece to any Afrikakorps military vehicle or a welcome addition to any DAK collection. |

| The condition is fully original, not repainted with a couple of minor original dents and a little paint scratched off on the corners by the German who took it out of the attic in Munich. Just as you see it in our photographs, we would rate it a VERY GOOD. Weighs 11 pounds (just under 5 kg). | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
