This rare example of PANZERARMEE AFRIKA KALENDER 1943 is in excellent condition, except as noted above.
This is an excellent unused example of the very, very rare PANZERARMEE AFRIKA KALENDER 1943 as published by Wilhelm Limpert Verlag in Berlin, Germany under the auspices of the Reichminister für Volksaufklärung und Propaganda, Dr. Joseph Goebbels in 1942.
The 4-1/8 x 6 inch, 172 page illustrated hard cover pocket size book contains an excellent 15 x 20 inch 1:5,000 000 scale full-color map of North Africa in a special pocket inside the back cover.
The title page and the owner's page (pages 1 thru 4) of this book were torn out, no doubt to remove the name of the orignal owner. Page 5 begins with the geography and populations of Africa, German territories in Africa and then it delves into the flora and fauna of Africa. There is a colorful star chart, a continental map and statistics related to the countries in Africa. Pages 25 to 128 are the calendar pages with spaces provided for notes on each day.
They are followed by Italian Armed Forces uniform insignia of rank, information about Islam and Mohammedans, a German - Italian - French - English - Arabic - Haussa and Swahili dictionary, and general climate and health information for Africa.
