2 PAIRS OF NEW-OLD-STOCK NAZI HITLER YOUTH UNIFORM SHOES

PAIR ONE WATERPROOF SPORTS BOOTS BOYS SIZE 34

This is a very nice pair of New-Old-Stock shoes of the type worn by every Hitler Youth boy that could afford them, with his uniform. The brown high top Sportstieffel in size 34 measure 9-3/8 inches from the tip of the toe to the end of the heel.

The boots are in excellent original condition, they have never been used, polished or laced up and they come with the original point of purchase hang-tag.

Each boot has four sets of eyelets and four sets of hooks for the laces. There is a finger loop on the back for pulling the shoes on and the heels are laid up from layers of leather nailed together.

Inside the shoes are lined with material printed with a pattern containing the words “Deutsche Wertarbeit Impregniert” which means “German High Quality Workmanship - Waterproofed”.

They truly are beautifully made, genuine leather high-tops with leather soles. The hang tag has a logo of the letters T and R on a shield above the words Wassertrotz ges. gesch. written in Sütterlin Schrift.

SPORTS BOOTS BOYS SIZE 33
RUGGED BROWN HIGH-TOPS

This is a very nice pair of New-Old-Stock shoes of the type worn by every Hitler Youth boy that could afford them, with his uniform. The brown high top Sportstieffel in size 33 measure 9-3/16 inches from the tip of the toe to the end of the heel.

The boots are in spectacular original condition, they have never been used, polished or laced up and they come with the original point of purchase hang-tag and the original shipping box.

The shipping box still includes the original tan tissue paper that separated the shoes in shipment! The box has suffered a good deal of damage over the past 60+ years but has been repaired to the point that it is completely displayable. The top and label are in good condition.

These shoes were manufactured and sold by the company Trommler (German for “Drummer”), in business since 1889. Each boot has six sets of eyelets and three sets of hooks for the laces. There is a finger loop on the back for pulling the shoes on and a groove around the heel so that they may be used with old fashioned cable ski bindings. The heels are laid up from layers of leather and there is a steel cleat at the toe of each shoe.

The ad at the left is from the Jahrbuch der Reichsfrauenführung from the year 1941.

These shoes originally sold for 11.75 Reichsmark, or the equivalent of about US$4.70. A great deal of money in 1940.
