This splendid 7-1/2 x 9 inch folder opens into a colorful 9 x 15 inch ink-signed First Place Award Certificate for Fencing in the Vienna University Sports Competition of 1942.

The certificate was awarded to Grete Kunz by the Fitness Office of the National Sozialistische deutscher Studentenbund of the Nazi Party, Gau Leadership Wien (Vienna).

The very unusual document has the Wappen (coat of arms) of the city of Wien and the date 1942 on the front panels, and the eagle and swastika of the NSDAP Studentenbund on the inside.

Wien was the second largest city of Großdeutschland during the Third Reich. Only Berlin was larger. Original and in very good condition.
