Kreistag booklets did not usually survive for long after the event took place, but this is a very nice one - and a perfect example of the genre. The 6-1/2 x 9-1/2 inch, 36 page heavily illustrated soft cover booklet has a stunning Professor Richard Klein Nazi eagle and swastika graphic on the front cover and explains that the NSDAP Kreis (area) festival for Wasserburg, Mühldorf and Rosenheim (in Bayern or Bavaria) would be a week long event in Wasserburg.

Held from 25 June through 3 July 1938, there were events and music to please everyone. As usual at Kreistag celebrations, the various halls, guesthouses and hotels were venues for the meetings of different Nazi Party paramilitary organizations from the Hitler Youth and Lawyers Association to the Reichluftschutzbund (RLB), the SS and the SA.

Community politics was a big issue as was the general state of labor and industry, and virtually all Nazi Party officials had an hour set aside somewhere for their speech.

While the Deputy to the Gauleiter was typically in attendance every day during the Kreistag, it was the custom of the Gauleiter (in this case Adolf Wagner) to show up only on the final day for the “Great Review” and the closing ceremonies.

There is some scotch tape on the cover but this is a terrific 68 year old example of a rare Kreistag der NSDAP program. Nice condition.
