This is a fine example of the rare 4-1/2 x 7-3/8 inch, 80 page hardcover book Mit der Leibstandarte im Westen (With The Leibstandarte SS "Adolf Hitler" in the West) by Walter Best. The book is a look at the campaigns of the LSSAH across France in 1940 through the eyes of a SS Kriegsberichter or War Correspondent as published by the Zentralverlag der NSDAP (Central Publishing House of the Nazi Party) in Munich in 1941. It is a First Edition of the first 10,000 printed.
This is not a simple minded "nothing" book but an in-depth accounting of not only the campaign in the west but the personalities that accompanied the outfit (like Sepp Dietrich) and the Christmas celebration with the Führer himself! An excellent piece in excellent original condition.
