Introduced in 1935, the Me 108 Taifun Schnellflugzeug (Quick Trip Aircraft) manufactured by Bayerische Flugzeugwerke in Augusburg, Germany quickly established itself as a world-class two and four seater. German aviatrix Elly Beinhorn began establishing flight records with the plane before she married world famous German auto racer Bernd Rosemeyer in 1936.

The plane was successful enough in its first version that it was almost immediately produced in a four place configuration. The brochures we offer here as a lot are the two principal sales brochures for the four place version of the Me 108.

The first brochure measures 8-1/4 x 8-3/4 inches and consists of 12 full-color pages of promotional information about the Taifun (typhoon), including a photo of General der Flieger Erhard Milch and Generalmajor Ernst Udet in front of one of the planes. Other photos show the Taifun flying over the Alps, flying through clouds, and a full-color cut-away of the aircraft.

The second brochure also measures 8-1/4 x 8-3/4 inches, also has 12 pages but is printed in black and white. It provides a little more technical data and a fine series of close-up photos of the machine itself.

Light staining to the lower spine on both booklets but otherwise in very good condition.
