This is a fine example of the very, very rare 6-3/4 x 10 inch, 280-page very heavily illustrated hard cover book ,,Unter den Sturmstandern des NSKK’’ (Beneath the Standards of the NSKK), a history of the founding and development of the NSKK by Gruppenführer Oppermann as published by the Zentralverlag der NSDAP Franz Eher Nachfolger in München (Munich), Germany in 1936.

Begun by the Führer, Adolf Hitler, in April 1930 as the Nationalsozialistische Automobil-Korps (NSAK), the organization was assigned responsibility for motorizing the NSDAP (Nazi Party) and the country of Germany and began recruiting members immediately. Adolf Hitler was the first member and Martin Bormann oversaw the organizational phase.

By December 1930, Hitler put the organization under the direction of his old friend and Nazi comrade Major Adolf Hühnlein who reorganized it entirely. In April 1931, the SA Leadership in München changed the name of the organization to the Nationalsozialistische Kraftfahrkorps (National Socialist Motorized Transport Corps) or NSKK.
Under the shelter
of the SA and SS,
growth of the
NSKK was
fast and the
organization
became an
extremely
high-profile,
important one
within the
Nazi Party.
With Nazi victory at the polls and in the Reichstag in early 1933, both the NSKK and the Reichsautobahn were on the fast track to enormous growth. The real motorization of Germany was finally under way. This book records the countless NSKK trips and events scheduled and carried out in combination with elements of the SS and SA.

The final 130 pages of the book are devoted entirely to largely otherwise unseen photographs of the growth of the NSKK during its first six years.
Those photographs include Nazi notables from Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler and Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring to Dr. Joseph Goebbels and of course, Reichskanzler Adolf Hitler himself. There are photos of HJ motor units, SA motor schools, motorcycle units, off-road trials, the Reichsautobahn, race cars, Reichsparteitag, Mercedes-Benz director Jakob Werlin, and even the Nazi Party’s most precious relic, the Blood Flag.
Christian Weber
This is a very rare book in very good condition containing obscure history and unique photographic content.

Contains the stamp of the library of NSKK Motorsturm 74/M94.
