Almost in Yugoslavia during the Third Reich, the city of Graz was known as Die Stadt der Volkserhebung or The City of the People's Insurrection, and was one of the most fanatically Nazi places in the Greater German Reich of Adolf Hitler. This 6-3/4 x 9 inch, 64 page very heavily illustrated book was published in the fall of 1939 by the Gaupropagandaamt Steiermark or the Gau Publicity Office in the province of Styria.
Graz, Die Stadt der Volkserhebung begins with an unusual full-page picture of Hitler speaking in front of microphones, which is followed by page after page of large, clear half- and full-page photos of the Nazis of Graz displacing every other political and social force in the beautiful but remote Grenzgau Steiermark.
Many rare photographs of SS and other troops and formations. Also includes photos of material in the incredible Armory Museum in Graz.
