The original Third Reich documents in the first lot on this USMBOOKS web page belonged to Franz Dorfmeister, born 12 December 1922 at Neusiedl. His occupation is listed as Flugzeugbauer or airplane manufacturer, and in June 1942, when he started to work on his SA-Wehr-Abzeichen, he still lived in Neusiedl. His SA-Wehr-Abzeichen Übungsbuch or Practice Book shows that Franz Dorfmeister had completed every qualifying test by 28 July 1943. On that date, the Leader of SA Sturm 6/1 signed off on the last page of the 4 x 5-3/4 inch, 8 page SA-Wehr-Abzeichen Übungsbuch.
The 4-3/8 x 5-3/4 inch SA-Sportabzeichen Urkunde or SA Sport Badge certificate booklet of Franz Dorfmeister shows he scored 793 points and received his SA-Sportabzeichen in Bronze on 24 June 1944. The Leader of SA-Standarte 1 at Neunkirchen officially signed his SA-Sportabzeichen Urkunde booklet on 5 July 1944.
An embossed 3-1/8 x 3-1/2 inch, 2-sided card called a Besitz-Zeugnis or Proof of Ownership (of the Bronze SA Sports Badge) still has Dorfmeister's ID photo. The SA Sport Badge certificate booklet still has Dorfmeister's ID photo as well and comes with its original protective case. Because all documents were in this protective case since 1945, they are in very good condition.
