| A large round dot containing SS runes on the front cover calls the readers attention to a major article about Adolf Hitlers SS and its task. This was probably the first introduction many Germans had to the concept of Hitlers private bodyguards.
The 4-page, 15 photo article shows the SS of Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler in many of its roles. The article explains that Himmler is the Commander of the Gestapo and that the SS was the first security tool of the Nazi movement. |

| It explains that the double sig-rune is the symbol of the SS and that the SS provides the guards at the Martyrs Monument at the Feldherrnhalle in Munich. It further explains the meaning of the SS motto ,,Meine Ehre Heisst Treue. | |||||||||||||||||

| The other major article in this issue of Münchner Illustrierte Presse is about the heroes of Nanga Parbat, the German Himalayas Expedition of 1934. There is also a photo story of the gold guards of Uncle Sams Vaults. The magazine has the usual advertising and many other photo features including one showing Hans Stuck, the Porsche Wagen Auto Union automobile racer who won the Grand Prize of Germany in 1934.
Very good condition. |
