VEEDOL MOTOR-FIBEL mit Autostraßenkarte von Deutschland is the title of this nice original two-sided Third Reich advertising brochure and map produced by the Hamburg-Amerikanische Mineralöl-Gesellschaft M.B.H., a motor oil company headquartered in Hamburg, Germany.

One side of the 8-panel, 17 x 19 inch brochure has a detailed Georg Westermann road map of Germany and the other side has informative illustrated advertising for Veedol products and their uses.

There is a similar table (shown right) for motorcycles such as Triumph, Harley-Davidson, Indian, DKW, BMW, BSA, NSU, Puch, Moto-Guzzi, Husqvarna, and many others.

One panel on the advertising side has pictures of the Zeppelin LZ 129 Hindenburg and Luftschiff Graf Zeppelin under text that translates as "Veedol success stories that speak for themselves".

Shown below is another panel with a table with suggestions of which Veedol oil to use in different cars, busses, vans and trucks (in winter and summer). The extensive car list includes German cars such as the Horch, Adler, BMW, Blitz, Daimler, Maybach, and Mercedes-Benz but also American cars like Cadillac, Chrysler, Chevrolet, Ford, De Soto, Lincoln, La Salle, Nash, Oldsmobile as well as other foreign automobiles like Fiat, Citroën, and Bugatti.

The Autostraßenkarte of Germany is at a scale of 1:1,200,00 meaning 2-½ inches is about 100 kilometers on the road map. While this Third Reich brochure / map is undated we know it was printed after the Saarland became part of Nazi Germany again, but before the 1938 reunification of Austria with Hitler's Germany. The map shows finished and planned sections of the Reichsautobahn as well as parts of the Nazi freeway system under construction.

This wonderful and rare 80+ year old piece of Nazi automotive ephemera is in good used condition. The front panel has the stamp of the Alfred Moebes gas station on Müggelheimer Strasse 7 in Berlin-Köpenick. The original owner made some notes on both the advertising and map side. There are some tears in the folds, but they have not been taped. No odor.
