This is an absolutely genuine 70 year old turned wooden target measuring about 19 inches in diameter (half a meter), that was shot three times in the WHW (Winterhilfswerk) Deutscher Reichskriegerbund Kyffhäuser Landesverband Bayerische Ostmark shooting competition in the winter of 1935/1936.
The three .22 caliber hits on the target were scored in pencil on the printed red, blue and white paper glued to the black painted disk. There is a triangular hanging ring attached to the back of the target so the shooter could display it on a wall at home following the competition.
The center of the target is the front door of the Walhalla monument depicted on the target. This is the only Nazi era rifle target we have ever been able to buy in over 35 years of searching.
