This is a nice, well-marked, authentic example of item 20640 from page 25 of the big Third Reich catalog of the firm of F.W. Assmann & Söhne of Lüdenscheid, Germany. It is a lapel or tie pin for members of the NSDAP.

F.W. Assmann & Söhne was of course, one of the premier manufacturers of Nazi Party and military belt buckles, insigne, badges, medals, orders, etc. Assmann held the assigned RZM M1 contractor number 17.

The item we offer here is a Nazi Party eagle and swastika with a 7/8 inch wingspan that is 11/16 inches tall on a 1-7/8 inch long twisted stickpin. Hitler was often photographed wearing one.

The back of the swastika wreath is marked GES. GESCH. surrounding the unique A logo of the F.W. Assmann & Söhne form.
