This big 6-1/4 x 9-1/2 inch, 348 page, very heavily illustrated hardcover book is called ”AUSCHWITZ - NAZI DEATH CAMP” and was published in English in 1996 by the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum at Oswiecim, Poland.

The book covers everything about the camp from its origins and founding to the IG Farben Industrie manufacturing facility, to living conditions, SS health services, identification of prisoners, daily life, medical experiments, working conditions, children at Auschwitz, extermination of prisoners, the plundering of personal effects of the prisoners, numbers of deaths, prisoner resistance movements, escapes from Auschwitz, SS crimes, liberation of Auschwitz, punishment of German war criminals, etc.

Most of the key players in the SS concentration camp system can be found in this book from SS doctors Josef Mengele, Entress, Kremer, Vetter, Wirths to Heinrich Himmler, Adolf Eichmann, Lagerführer Fritzsch and Gerhard Palitzsch and of course, SS-Hauptsturmführer Rudolf Höss.

While every well-read person will not agree with the conclusions presented in this publication, there can be no doubt about some of the valuable history and valuable photographs contained here.

IT IS the OFFICIAL HISTORY of one of the largest camps in the SS concentration camp system and very difficult to find in the 1996 edition in the English language version.

Some abbrasion to the front and back covers, otherwise excellent condition.
