CANCELED AT THE
1939 BERLIN AUTO SHOW

Internationale Automobil - und Motorrad-Ausstellung
There were three new German postage stamps issued specifically at the time of the Internationale Automobil - und Motorrad-Ausstellung (International Automobile & Motorcycle Exhibition) in Berlin in 1939 and we offer all three of them here as special philatelic cancellations.
Nazi postage stamps
The stamps are a 25 pfennig blue stamp featuring the new Kraft durch Freude (KdF) Car or “Volkswagen”, a 12 pfennig red stamp featuring the world speed record setting Mercedes-Benz and Auto-Union race cars and a 6 pfennig green stamp that pictures the first Mercedes-Benz car.

All three stamps were canceled on 17 February 1939 during the Berlin Auto Show on a special sheet measuring 4-1/8 x 5-3/4 inch, sponsored by Dresdner Bank.

Historic Third Reich philatelic material in very good condition.
