This is an excellent original example of the rare and large 9-1/2 x 11-3/4 inch 92 page very, very heavily illustrated hard cover book Bauten der Bewegung Volume II or Construction [Projects] of the [Nazi] Movement as published for the book series of the Nazi Building Administration by the Prussian Finance Ministry and printed by Verlag Wilhelm Ernst & Sohn in Berlin in 1942.
If you could have only a single book on the architecture of monumental building projects carried out by the Nazis during the Third Reich, this book or its companion Volume I, would be the book to have. With only a small amount of text the large clear photographs of many of the best National Socialist architectural projects begin on page 11. Each photograph or drawing is identified with a copious caption which includes the name of the architect and his city of residence as well as the name and location of the project.
