This is a very good example of the very rare 4-3/4 x 6-5/8 inch, 80 page ,,Der Kleine Berchtesgadner Führer’’ or "Small Guide Book to Berchtesgaden".

It was written by Dr. Hans Werner Freiherrn von Aufseß and published by J. Lindauersche Universitätsbuchhandlung in München (Munich), Germany in 1934.

The book contains a 9 x 15 inch multicolor fold-out map of the Berchtesgaden area including Bad Reichenhall, Hallein, Saalfelden, the Königssee, Bischofswiesen, Ramsau, etc., etc.

The Adolf Hitlerhaus is even called out on the Obersalzberg just east of Berchtesgaden. Other maps show the general area and elevations of key mountains such as the Kehlstein, every building in Berchtesgaden, Haus Wachenfeld, etc. Even each separate building on the Obersalzberg is illustrated and named.

The text of the book provides general information and minutia regarding the area of Adolf Hitler’s mountain home interspersed with photographs of many key sights.

The book is nicely indexed and in the back contains approximately 10 pages of advertising from Berchtesgaden merchants, guesthouses, hotels, etc.
