VIP INVITATION TO THE
GERMAN OPERAHAUS
PRESENTATION OF
DER FLIEGENDE HOLLÄNDER
The formal Third Reich opera invitation offered for sale here is large in size and beautifully printed on ragged-edge paper. Folded it measures about 6 x 8-1/4 inches and opened it measures 6 x 16-1/2 inches. The solitary image on the outside of the invitation is the emblem of the German nation - the Hoheitszeichen or eagle and swastika - with a wingspan of 1-3/4 inches, centered on cover 1. |

The information inside the invitation is quite important. It says that the General Manager of the German Opera House Concert Singers, Wilhelm Rode, would be honored by your presence at the performance of Richard Wagners Flying Dutchman at 8 pm on Sunday 7 March 1937. |

| The invited guest, Mr. Dr. Rathke and his wife, must have been VIPs as they had the best seats in the house - number 13 and 15, in the center of the left side in the FRONT ROW.
Very unusual Nazi operatic material in excellent condition and GUARANTEED to be absolutely authentic unaltered Third Reich material.
