| This is a fine original examples of the 1941 edition of the BTB (Berlin Telefon Buch or Company Advertising Telephone Book), the German Third Reich equivalent of Yellow Pages. |

The 8-3/4 x 11-7/8 inch, 840 page book is in very nice original condition; it has no missing pages and has a good tight binding. This commercial directory is the mate to the far more common 1941 Berlin Residential Directory. Those two directories were the only phone directories published in Berlin during World War II. |
| The huge BTB was put together and published by the Deutsche Reichspost, the German telephone monopoly, and printed by August Scherl Nachfolger of Berlin.
It begins with a 30 page index to subject categories from Aalräuchereien (Eel Smokers) to Zylinderschmieröl (Cylinder Grease).
| In between the eel and the grease you will find ads in the BTB for uniform makers, architects (including Hitlers architect Albert Speer), weapons, artists, automobiles, hotels from the Adlon to the Zentrum, restaurants, furniture, medals and orders, lawyers, horse butchers, poison gas fumigants, office machines, bars and nightclubs, detective agencies, guns, advertising agencies, publishers, etc., etc., etc. |
