It is widely known that Berndorfer Metallwarenfabrik Arthur Krupp A.G. of Berndorf, Germany made superb silverware. They manufactured silverware for Adolf Hitler, Hermann Göring, Josef Goebbels, Heinrich Himmler, hotels such as the Kaiserhof in Berlin, and Nazi paramilitary organizations like the SS, SA, Hitler Youth (HJ), etc. They also made silverware for institutions of the German Government, and branches of the Wehrmacht such as the Luftwaffe, Waffen-SS, Kriegsmarine, etc.
This is an original 2 x 2-3/4 x 10-3/4 inch Berndorf box that once held one dozen Alpacca model 9908 Krupp Berndorf table knives and is so marked on the left end. The right end is marked with the names of Krupp Berndorf sales offices in Greater Germany and abroad. A very difficult thing to find 75 years later in nice used condition, with the original labels.
