Bessarabien Ukraine Krim is a wonderful rare book, that like no other covers the campaign of German and Rumanian troops through Bessarabia, the Ukraine and the Crimean Peninsula. Hundreds upon hundreds actual combat photographs show the campaign and its destruction in extreme detail.
There are also full-page portraits of the German commanders and the Rumania commander (all wearing Knights Crosses of the Iron Cross) as well as pictures of dozens of officers and men who were awarded the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross.
There are excellent captions for all of the photos and a brief text that explains the freeing of the ethnic Germans in the area and the necessity of the capture of Krim.
