DOCUMENT
GROUPING

This is a splendid Nazi document grouping consisting of the entire file of an engineer who, during World War II, worked for the Reichsministerium für Bewaffnung und Munition at Pariser Platz 3 (the address of Hitler’s architect, Reichsminister Albert Speer’s office) in Berlin.

The man in question was Diplom-Ingenieur (Certified Engineer) Siegfried Eisold of Höckendorf bei Stettin who got his engineering degree from the Technische Hochschule of Dresden while working part-time for the motor manufacturing firm of Otto Bark in Dresden. The Technische Hochschule was a state run university-level institution and the embossed seal on Eisold’s diploma contains the Hoheitszeichen or state eagle and swastika emblem.
Reichsminister der Luftfahrt und Oberbefehlshaber der Luftwaffe
In addition to Eisold’s diploma dated 27 July 1940, this unique Third Reich document grouping contains his membership certificate in the Nationalsozialistischen Bund Deutscher Technik (a technical trade organization) bearing a facsimile signature of Dr. Fritz Todt; a 4-page handwritten biography bearing Eisold’s photo and dated 15 November 1941 while he was living in Nürnberg; a notice sent to Eisold in May 1940 notifying him that work he was doing at the Versuchs- und Materialprüfungsamt (Research and Material Testing Office) was of a secret nature; a confidential 8-1/4 x 11-5/8 inch, 34 page softcover booklet issued at the Technische Hochschule of Dresden covering German automotive research on behalf of the Reichs Traffic Ministry: and three identity documents.
Nazi document grouping
The three Nazi era identity documents are gray leinen Ausweis number 10823 dated 31 October 1942 when Eisold was doing some work or research at Viga-Werk in Grimma, Germany; very rare gray leinen Ausweis number 1275 from the Reichsministerium für Bewaffnung und Munition (Nazi Armaments Ministry) dated 8 February 1943: and an extremely rare mid-war Industrieausweis number 36663 issued by the Reichsminister der Luftfahrt und Oberbefehlshaber der Luftwaffe (the office of Hermann Göring) in Berlin, on 25 February 1943. The Luftwaffe identity document gave him access to the Singer Sewing Machine works in Wittenberg and the Junkers Aircraft factories in Magdeburg. The unusual background on this green leinen document consists of very finely printed white lines of type saying “Reichsluftfahrtministerium” and a droop-tail Luftwaffe eagle clutching a swastika.

This grouping consists entirely of documents that can not be found in most of the advanced Nazi identity document collections on earth. Very good condition.
