Nazi Compass in Original Case
This is the typical standard Army style Bézard Patent march compass used on all fronts during World War II by the Waffen-SS and regular troops of the German Wehrmacht.

The compass has a black bakelite body which measures about 2-1/2 x 2-7/8 inches and is marked on the bottom as follows:

Bézard compass DRP
A very accurate compass disk is encapsulated in a rotatable, knurled face marked off in degrees and the directions N - S - O - W. There is a hinged metal mirror that folds up to 90° from the face of the compass. The front of that mirror needs to be polished to reflect the compass needle.

The hinged compass cover is zinc or zinc plated metal with a white arrow screwed to the inside surface, a direction arrow stamped into the outside surface, a 50 mm scale along the bottom edge, and a lanyard ring attached to the top edge.

The compass comes with its original lanyard and is in its original case. It weighs 5 ounces.
These well made Bézard compasses were heavily advertised in Third Reich military magazines, such as Die Wehrmacht, Der Adler, and those of the Hitler Youth, NSKK, NSFK and other Nazi paramilitary organizations.
