OFFICIAL NAZI POLICE NOTICE OF THE REVOCATION
OF THE GERMAN CITIZENSHIP OF A JEWISH FEMALE
This 5-3/4 x 8 inch sheet was once a part of an official Nazi Police file as evidenced by the two punched holes at the left edge. This official notice states that one Sophie Oppenheimer (maiden name Strauß), born on 1 September 1897 in Ober-Mockstadt, without profession and ironically living at Adolf Hitler Straße 15 in Ortenburg, had forfeited her German citizenship as provided for in the public proclamation of 26 January 1939 as published in issue 24 of the Official German and Prussian Gazette of 28 January 1939.
