This is a beautiful 9-3/4 x 13-3/4 inch, 72 page full-color book depicting and describing German colonies around the world which the government of Adolf Hitler still considered to be German in spite of their loss at the end of World War I.

The gorgeous big book was published in 1936 by Cigaretten Bilderdienst in Dresden and contains all 270 splendid 2 x 2-1/2 inch full-color varnished cigarette cards carefully attached in the appropriate pages on the pages.

The text and the photos cover German colonies in East Africa, South Africa and the South Pacific. There is a competent history of each colony as well as economic, geographic and commercial information. The pictures are especially well-done in this album showing not only the uniforms and facilities of the German colonial troops, but the birds, animals, plants and native populations of the various countries.
