Deutsches Berufsbeamtentum, Nazi Career Civil Servants, Reichsbeamtenführer Hermann Neef
Der Fuehrer, Adolf Hitler, NS Idee

Deutsches Berufsbeamtentum is an obscure but important Third Reich book about Nazi Career Civil Servants and their important role in Nazi Germany, published in 1942. It doesn't come up for sale often, and few historians are aware of its important historical content.

Author Hermann Neef was an early 1920s member of the Nazi Party and a member of the Reichstag (Parliament) after the National Socialist came to power in 1933. In October 1933 he founded the Reichsbund der Deutschen Beamten (RDB) and became the Reichsbeamtenführer; the man in charge of the Nazi League of German Career Civil Servants. He held that position until the end of World War II in May 1945. He was also the publisher of the Nazi newspaper Das Dritte Reich as well as many books on matters related to German civil servants in Third Reich Germany.

Reichsminister und Chef der Reichskanzlei Dr. Hans Lammers
The forward of Deutsches Berufsbeamtentum is dated June 1942, and explains the importance of National Socialist civil servants in German society, and they are referred to as "Soldiers of the State" and "Servants of the Nation". Their role and work is explained, as well as their important contribution to Adolf Hitler's success. Wir müssen dem Führer alles geben, was er notwendig hat (We have to give the Führer everything that is important to him) is a quote by Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring on the first page after the forward.
There is text about the importance of proper education of career civil servants (especially political education) as well as the importance of Blutreinheit - all German civil servants had to have pure German blood, not Jewish blood or mixed ancestry. Duties of career civil servants are spelled out, while on the job and off-work, and they should realize they are at the epicenter of the dynamic history and progress of National Socialist Germany.
Reichsbeamtenführer Hermann Neef
The 5-3/4 x 8-1/8 inch, 208-page softcover book contains full-page portrait photos of Adolf Hitler, Reichsmarschall Hermann Goering, Reichsleiter (and Head of the Nazi Party Chancellery) Martin Bormann, Reichsminister Dr. Wilhelm Frick, Reichsminister (and Head of the Reichschancellery) Dr. Hans Lammers and author and Reichsbeamtenführer Hermann Neef. It was published in 1942 by Verlag Beamtenpresse GmbH of Berlin and printed in Reichenberg (Sudetenland).
National Socialist indoctrination
Quotes from speeches by Adolf Hitler, Interior Minister Dr. Frick and Reichsminister Dr. Lammers follow. All are related to the importance of the work of Reichsbeamten or career civil servants were the audience. The rest of the text spells out the Nazi focus on the importance of the state, an orderly society, duties of its citizens and the important role that civil servants play to make Germany a well-run country. Career civil servants were not expected to see themselves as individuals, but as part of the large administrative network that made the country work, under the leadership of Adolf Hitler.

This 77 year old example of Deutsches Berufsbeamtentum is complete and in very nice used condition - no odor.

This book explains a vital part of the success of Nazi Germany, the absolute unquestioning loyalty to Adolf Hitler and the principles he laid out for the Nazi Party which were adopted in total by the professional "administrative army" that made it all work.
