Lot 247 - left, an original used 100 x 146 mm Third Reich color postcard promoting der Ewige Jude or the Eternal Jew Exhibition held in the Nordwestbahnhalle in Wien (Vienna) in 1938.
The card was mailed to a pianist in Vienna on 16 August 1938 and the card was canceled at the Ewige Jude exhibition.
This is a very rare original Third Reich card. The coins in the hand of the 'Eternal Jew' are printed in metallic gold ink not in the yellow color of the background. This 73 year old postcard

The anti-Jewish Third Reich German exhibition Der Ewige Jude (The Eternal Jew) was held in Library of the Deutsches Museum in Munich (8 November 1937 - January 31 1938), moved to the Nordwestbahnhalle in Vienna (2 August - 23 October 1938) and then on to Berlin ( 12 November 1938 - 31 January 1939). Souvenir postcards were printed so visitors could mail them to friends and family, collectors could save them, with or without a cancelation from the exhibition.
