Wolfangel Freikorps Lapel Pin

WOLFANGEL FREIKORPS LAPEL PIN 1919

This is a very nice enamel lapel pin with a Wolfangel rune for an unknown Freikorps unit, probably organized in 1919. It was manufactured in a single piece, with a twisted stickpin attached on the back.

The 12 mm (half inch) shield is composed of two black enameled bands with a red enameled band through the center. The figure 19 appears in the upper left corner and a vertical Wolfangel rune occupies the center.

The pin is 44 mm (about 1-3/4 inches) long overall and is gold plated.

Very good condition.
