ORIGINAL NAZI 8 MM FILM HITLER’S FLAG OVER HRADSCHIN

Tobis Degeto Schmallfilm "Führerstandarte auf dem Hradschin"
ORIGINAL TOBIS DEGETO SCHMALLFILM NR. II/4
,,FÜHRERSTANDARTE AUF DEM HRADSCHIN’’
(THE FÜHRERS STANDARD FLIES OVER HRADCANY CASTLE)
This is an absolutely original 8 mm Tobis Degeto Schmallfilm motion picture Nr. II/4 ,,Führerstandarte auf dem Hradschin’’, new in its original Third Reich box containing an 8-1/4 x 11-1/2 inch printed sheet describing the contents of the film in detail. The detail says that the film shows the carrying out of the last wish of the fallen German soldiers of the World War - the return of the German Reich to its former size and power. That event occurred when German troops occupied the Bohemian and Moravian portion of Czechoslovakia in March 1939. Hitler went to Prag (Praha, Prague) and had his flag (the Führerstandarte) raised over the ancient castle Hradcany (Hradschin) on a hill overlooking the city. This film covers the German Wehrmacht’s conquest of Bohemia and Moravia and Hitler’s triumphant visit to Prague.

We don’t know the running time of the film but the red pressed paper reel is 3 inches in diameter and is about 95% full of film. The leader identifies the film as the same one mentioned on both the outside of the box and the printed sheet. The film appears to be brand new and does not look like it was ever run. The back of the box is marked Degeto Führerstandarte auf dem Hradschin II/4 8mm. The box also contains an original retail price and a label from Karlsbad Optik-Foto Knuffner & Niederauer of Karlsbad, Germany, now Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic. The original retail price of this reel was 10 Reichsmarks or approximately $4.00 during the Third Reich. In excellent condition.
