This absolutely original World War II period 2-3/4 x 4-1/2 inch tan printed one-sided card carries the headline “Actual Facts from U.S. Army, Navy & O.P.A.” (O.P.A. is the Office of Price Administration, the government department that controlled rationing during the war).

Using real “firsts” it depicts Irish-Americans like Murphy, O’Toole, O’Hara and Sullivan as having accomplished some noble combat goals through self-sacrifice. The final entry derides one “Nate Goldstein” for having been the first SOB to “get 4 new tires” for his car.
