HERMANN GÖRING FACTORY NEWSPAPER

Hermann Göring

WERKZEITUNG
(FACTORY NEWSPAPER)
FROM THE
HERMANN GÖRING
ALPINE MONTAN AG
IN LINZ, GERMANY
15 MARCH 1940

This is a very rare example in excellent condition of the official 8 x 11-1/2 inch, heavily illustrated, 16 page, Hausorgan or factory newspaper produced by the Press Office of the Deutsche Arbeitsfront (DAF or German Labor Front) for the workers at the various work sites of the Alpine Montan AG Hermann Göring in Linz, Germany (now in Austria).
This issue also includes a separate program for the Theaterabend der Werksgemeinschaft (Factory Theater Evening) of the Styrian Cast Steel Works (a unit of Hermann Göring Industries) in a town with the unlikely name of Judenburg. The evening of singing theater and other entertainment began at 8 pm on Sunday 22 November 1941 as a portion of the 3rd War Winterhilfswerk (WHW) drive for 1941/1942.

Although the name of the town translates as “Town of Jews”, the name was not changed during the Third Reich and it was home to an important part of Nazi defense industries.

Hard to find and in nice condition.
