The photo shows the Reichsführer in a brown shirt, black jacket, with a black tie, visor cap and overcoat. Himmler is wearing an SS cross belt, a Nazi Party pin on his tie and an SS Officer's belt.
It is a particularly good portrait of the Head of the SS and the German Police and is the type that would have hung in a frame without a matt in a German Court, or SS and Nazi Police office anywhere in Germany during the Third Reich. Because the SS was declared an illegal organization in Germany at the end of World War II, very, very few real portraits of Himmler survived. We have decided to make copies available at a reasonable price so that they can be used in educational displays, in museums, and along with SS collectibles.
