Every Ortsgruppe in the Nazi Germany of Adolf Hitler had a Deutsche Arbeitsfront (DAF or German Labor Movement) unit within its jurisdiction and each of the units had a ,,Hoheitsfahne’’ or Supreme Flag in traditional red, white and black colors, fringed in silver and bearing the name of the Ortsgruppe on a tan rectangle bordered in blue.

The Hoheitsfahne we offer here is the “Sacred Symbol” of the DAF of Ortsgruppe Bad Wimpfen, a small but very picturesque German spa town above the Neckar river just northwest of Heilbrunn.

Both sides of the 48 x 54 inch flag are identical and it has five very well-made original Karabiner (snap hooks) sewed along the top edge to attach it to a wooden pole.

The cogged wheel with the swastika in the center measures 26-1/2 inches across and the Ortsgruppe block measures about 7 x 9 inches.

The Karabiner are original and are all there, the silver fringe is in very nice condition. The colors on both sides are bright and not faded. There are some moth holes in the tan and blue material but the flag itself is clean and in very good condition with only three tiny easily repaired holes in it. Nice overall condition.

NAZI FLAG POLE TOP

The correct original polished aluminum flag pole top that came with the Nazi flag shown above is offered here as a separate item.

It measures about 9-3/4 inches tall (the cogged wheel is 6 inches in diameter) and is about 3/16 inches thick. At the round bottom it measures 1-1/4 inches in diameter and has a 1-3/8 inch threaded stud with a nut on it.
