| Eduard Fuchs was a Berliner who studied and wrote broadly on the subject of caricature.
In this book he traces the caricatures of Jews back to the 14th century in Central Europe. From there the book deals with the writings on the subject of Jews by Martin Luther, traces the association of Jews with money and capitalism, and their disproportionate numbers in certain fields and endeavors. |

| Hundreds of very rare pictures from German, Polish, Austrian, French, Dutch, Russian, Hungarian, British and even American sources were used to illustrate an extremely well-researched text. Because most are satirical caricatures they show Jews at their worst, as ragmen and poor soldiers, lusting after goyim women, and attempting to appear elegant. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The Jewish Emancipation in Europe in the mid 19th century is recounted in detail utilizing many caricatures of Jews attempting to adopt the clothing, sports, mannerisms and customs of the general European populations into which they were trying to integrate themselves. The 19th century French seem to have been extremely anti-Jewish based on the many examples cited in this book. Much is made of the scandalous newspapers published in New York by Jews, and their close association with Soviet communism. ,,Die Juden in der Karikatur ends with an appraisal of the rising anti-Semitic / anti-communist feelings in Germany. |

| There is not the slightest doubt that Adolf Hitler, Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler and many other leading Nazis owned and were reading this book in the 1920s and 1930s, and that they took many of the caricatures to heart. SPECIAL REQUEST: please do not e-mail to lecture us on the political correctness of describing or offering for sale anti-Semitic literature. We have been buying and selling rare 20th century European books for many years and a high percentage of them contain anti-Semitic material. The cover of this book is somewhat dirty, but the internal pages are in very good condition. |
