A VERY RARE BOOK FROM 1944 ON
THE INFLUENCE OF JEWS IN MUSIC

This is a very rare, very late war (1944) 4-3/4 x 7-1/2 inch, 160 page hard cover book ,,Judentum und Musik’’ by Karl Blessinger as published by Bernhard Hahnefeld Verlag in Berlin. Blessinger had published an earlier book ,,Mendelssohn, Meyerbeer, Mahler - Drei Kapitel Judentum in der Musik’’ which established his authority on the subject, and this is an updated version.

In this book ,,Judentum und Musik - ein Beitrag zur Kultur un Rassenpolitik’’ (Judaism and Music - a Contribution to Culture and Racial Politics), Blessinger starts off with a long chapter called “The Jew as a Cultural Parasite” and finishes with a chapter called “The Quiet Musical Evolution under the Influence of Judaism”. In between he attempts to prove that the Jewish composers were thieves and infringers.
