This lot consists of eight original 10-1/4 x 13-3/4 inch, 24 page heavily illustrated weekly consumer news and current events magazines called Koralle as published by Deutscher Verlag in Berlin.
The magazines contain articles and photo features about Knight’s Cross winners and their bravery in the face of the enemy, Jews and their effect in countries outside of Germany, a drone aircraft for taking reconnaissance photos, the beautiful image of Venus in history, Jenny Lind - the Swedish Nightingale, American presidents, taxi dancing girls, tricks employed by Nazi pilots, Paris in 1941, Siamese cats, the meaning of dreams, Popeye in Japan, King Boris of Bulgaria, a Texas steer, Japanese dolls, Mussolini’s film studio, brave women awarded the Iron Cross, the Roosevelt’s in the White House, circus horses, etc., etc.
Each issue contains a good deal of consumer advertising from movies to medicine and the back panel is always cartoons and jokes.
The Koralle issues in this lot are number 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 17, 20 and 21 of the year 1941.
They are in very good condition.
