That book is among the rarest and most valuable of the dozen or so 3-D books Raumbild Publishing of München (Munich) produced during the Third Reich. Each Raumbild book had extra-thick hard covers that were die-cut on the outside to hold the one hundred 2-3/8 x 5 inch stereo pictures, and the viewer that was needed to examine them.

The pictures are of course, double pictures, printed on photographic paper from a negative, and appear very realistic (3-dimensional) when examined in the viewer. No other photo process can give the viewer an equal feeling of actually “being there”. Each picture is numbered and has a complete description of the scene printed on the back.

The one-hundred stereo photographs in this set cover every aspect of the State War Veteran’s Day - there are many of Hitler, his Great Mercedes-Benz, marching military units including the SS and Police, the beautifully decorated city, honored guests like Heinrich Himmler, etc., etc.

If you owned the “Der Erste Großdeutsche Reichskriegertag” book and needed some of the pictures in this set, you could expect to pay between $10 and $25 for EACH of the pictures you wanted, IF YOU COULD EVEN FIND THEM! This set is complete and in very good condition.

If you know anyone who collects Raumbild Verlag stereo books, please forward this sale to them. Spare photo sets are very hard to get and someone would love to acquire these!
