BELGIAN REXISTE
(LEON DEGRELLE)
NEWSPAPER AND
BOOKLETS
FROM
WORLD WAR II

| Authentic material of any kind from Leon Degrelles Rexist Movement in wartime Belgium is extremely rare. This lot consists of the 15 April 1943 issue of the 12 x 16 inch, 16 page, illustrated newspaper National-Socialisme and three booklets, the titles of which translate into English roughly as That Which Constitutes the National Socialist Party for Germany, Stuttgart You Speak and Jews are People Too!. |
| The booklets each measure approximately 5-1/2 x 8 inches and contain 30, 48 and 32 pages respectively. The first one from 1941 explains German National Socialism, the second one from 1943 is about the Foreign Service broadcasts of Radio Stuttgart, and the title of the third is intended to be taken as a joke. It is and is an EXTREMELY anti-Jewish, anti-Semitic booklet from 1942 that begins with negative statements about Jews by Goethe, Napoleon Bonaparte, Tacite, Henry Ford and others. |
| Over 30 photographs depict Jews in an entirely negative manner and the text of the book condemns Soviet Jews like Trotzky-Bronstein and Apfelbaum-Uritzky, Jewish bankers like the Rothschild family, financiers, lawyers and ghetto dwellers. One of the chapters claims to describe the grip Jews had on American commerce in 1942, especially in movies, newspapers, department stores, tobacco, banks, communications, etc. The booklet bears the runic stamp of an organization called La Defense du Peuple in Brussels on the back cover. The booklets shown below are in very good condition. |

| The newspaper is also in very good condition, and below the red Burgundian Cross on the masthead it features a photograph of, and an article about Adolf Hitler above a boxed quotation from Knights Cross of the Iron Cross winner and Nazi Waffen-SS Officer, Leon Degrelle. |
| Other articles deal with National Socialist Doctrin, Race, the International Jew, Anti-Hitler Terrorism and the Importance of the Aryan Idea. There are advertisements for Legion ,,Wallonie, accordions, a Rexist restaurant, the Völkischer Beobachter, jobs for railway policemen (exempt from working in Germany!), etc. There are photographs of Hitler Youth boys and girls in service of the people, and one of Rexiste Leader Leon Degrelle in uniform addressing a crowd at the Reichssportfeld in Berlin. The text of at least part of the address is also printed in this newspaper. |
