This is a very nice example of a Luftschutzdienstbuch zugleich Personalausweis (Air Raid Protection Service Book and Personal Identification Document) issued in 1941 by Luftgau-Kommando IV Dresden to Alfred Einhorn of Teplitz-Schönau.

The 45 year old book printer Einhorn was too old to serve in the regular Wehrmacht so he did his duty for the "Führer and Fatherland" in the Air Raid Protection Service.

The document contains his clothing issue, his appointment to the staff of his Luftschutz company, his promotions, his leaves of over five days and his discharge from the service. There is a pay receipt in the back of the book as well as the Luftschutz Merkblatt.
