This is an excellent example of the 65+ year old huge 13 x 16 inch, 27 page Messerschmitt aircraft calendar for the year 1941. This calendar is beautifully printed in full-color on heavy art paper. Each calendar page contains a detachable calendar covering two weeks beneath a large color photograph of a Messerschmitt plane on the ground or in flight, or of some aspect of the manufacturing or maintenance of those World War II Nazi aircraft. The Kalender was produced by the printing company of Carl Werner in Reichenbach, Germany.

Aircraft shown include the Messerschmitt Me 109, Me 110, Me 108 ,,Taifun’’. Perhaps the most poignant of the photos is one of the Messerschmitt Me 110 flying over the Trocadero in Paris with the river Seine and the Eiffel Tower in the foreground. Other photos show relative close-ups of Nazi pilots, ground crews, weapons and equipment.

Naturally, nearly all the calendars Messerschmitt produced in 1941 were used up. The perforated calendar portion of each page was often torn off when it no longer applied. The pictures themselves ended up in picture frames, in wall lockers and photo albums. Very few calendars survive in complete condition. This one was never hung. The cover page of this calendar was once detached but was reattached by a previous owner. This 1941 calendar is complete and in very good original condition.
