There were many magazines published in Nazi Germany concerned with the subjects of cars, motorcycles, aircraft, busses and trains, but none of them were anywhere nearly as beautiful, informative, well done or as succesful as ,,Motor Schau’’ (The Motor Show).

Motor Schau was a big, oversized 10 x 13-3/4 inch trade and consumer magazine which concentrated on every aspect of the “motor business” not only in Germany, but around the world. Its emphasis was Germany and German equipment and every big issue was packed with features, news and advertising related to the motor trades. Unlike the other German motoring magazines, every issue of ,,Motor Schau’’ had a striking full-color industry related cover and ususlly lots of color inside.

The February 1940 issue of Motor Schau contains 84 pages with a principal features article on all of the annual Automobile and Motorcycle Exhibitions held in Berlin during the Nazi era from 1933 through 1939. The big, heavily illustrated article devotes full-page spreads to each of the seven Auto Shows with many pictures of Hitler, Werlin and other dignitaries.

The Mercedes-Benz race cars and passenger cars are shown, as are special tanks, busses, antique cars and even the new KdF Car or Volkswagen. Other articles cover the Evolution of Armored Vehicles, German Aircraft Production (great photos of the Me109, text in both English and German) and German Aircraft from 1910, etc.

This magazine contains great advertising from Mercedes-Benz, Ford, Opel, Sachs, Borgward, Stoewer, Phänomen, Mauser, BMW, Henschel, Tempo, Adler, Auto-Union, FAMO, NSU, Zündapp, Büssing-NAG and others.

This 66+ year old magazine is in very good condition.
