This undated mid 1930s tourist publication emphasizes sun-drenched shores of the Mediterranean and Adriatic coast, Italy’s young population and recent accomplishments in agriculture, industry, commerce, as well as the fact that sport lovers will be able to find just as many amusements as art and history aficionados.
The text in this 6 x 7-¾ inch, heavily illustrated 32-page tourist booklet addresses the mindset of most foreign visitors to Italy - “recollections of impressions set forth by romanticists of the last century in books” regarding culture, history and ancient architectural treasures.
Every page has a black & white picture of the sport discussed as well as an illustration of it printed in orange ink.

This rare 90+ year old American Edition of Sport in Italy is in very good, little used condition, and has no writing or odor.

Also for sale on USMBOOKS.com, a 1940 Nazi publication about Italy's Armed Forces, Ten Years of Italian Progress, 1937 German language tourist information for the port city of Genoa and a lot of 3 original 1930s Saturnia Vulcania Italian cruise ship brochures.  We are happy to combine shipping of multiple purchases!
