Shown above is the absolutely original 8 mm Tobis Degeto Schmallfilm motion picture Nr. 16 ,,Rheinübergang und Eroberung der Maginot-Linie (The Crossing of the Rhine River and Conquest of the Maginot Line), in its original Third Reich box containing an 8-1/4 x 11-1/2 inch printed sheet describing the contents of the 1940 film in detail. The detail first describes the unfair Treaty of Versailles (Diktat von Versailles) and how it made Germany incapable of defending itself. It goes on describing how the country of France started to build the Maginot Line defenses, 200 kilometers (125 miles) long along the border with Germany. The End of the Myth occurred immediately at the start of the war in 1940 when German Wehrmacht troops bypassed the French defenses in the north and, while already in Paris, the last portions of the Maginot Line were conquered by General Dollmann with help from Stukas of the Luftwaffe. We dont know the running time of the film but the blue pressed paper reel is 3-1/2 inches in diameter and is about 95% full of film. The film appears to be brand new and does not look like it was ever run. The reel has a small sticker of the store where it was originally sold: Foto-Kino Franz Berger on the Kärtnerstrasse 45 in downtown Wien (Vienna).

This is an absolutely original 8 mm Tobis Degeto Schmallfilm motion picture Nr. 29 ,,Deutsche Schlachtschiffe brechen durch den Kanal (German Battleship Breakthrough in the English Channel), in its original Third Reich box containing an 5-3/4 x 8-1/4 inch printed sheet describing the contents of the 1941 film in detail. Exciting pictures by the German Wochenschau (news programs shown in theaters) show Kriegsmarine ships cross the English Channel (between England and the European continent), only 30 km (18 miles) wide at the narrowest point. The Gneisenau, Scharnhorst and the Prinz Eugen going at full speed, supported by the Luftwaffe, destroyers and torpedo boats, managed the crossing while being attacked by the British Air Force. The RAF was not able to stop the Kriegsmarine cruisers and battleships and 49 British planes were shot down. The film ends with pictures of a visit by Admiral Raeder, the Oberbefehlshaber der Kriegsmarine, to the officers and crews of the battleships that participated in the victorious English Channel breakthrough. We dont know the running time of this 1941 film but the dark brown metal reel is 3-3/4 inches in diameter and is about 95% full of film. The film appears to be brand new and does not look like it was ever run. The back of the box is marked Tobis-Degeto Weltspiegel 1941 Folge 29 8 mm. The box also contains an orange slip warning the buyer that this film can be shown to family and friends but that it is verboten to show it in some commercial venue.

This is an absolutely original 8 mm Tobis Degeto Schmallfilm motion picture Nr. 30 ,,Winterkrieg 1941/42 im Osten, new in its original Third Reich box containing an 5-3/4 x 8-1/4 inch printed sheet describing the contents of the film in detail. The detail says that the 1941 - 1942 winter in Russia was very severe, colder than normal even for the Soviet Union. It was bitter cold from November 1941 until March 1942, during which time the German soldier was battling the freezing temperatures, unfamiliar territory and the Russian enemy. It is made up of material from the OKW (Oberkommando der Wehrmacht), the German Wochenschau (news programs shown in theaters) and PK troops and gave people on the home front an idea of what der deutsche Soldat was facing on the East Front. We dont know the running time of the film but the dark brown metal reel is 3-3/4 inches in diameter and is about 95% full of film. The film appears to be brand new and does not look like it was ever run. The back of the box is marked Tobis-Degeto Weltspiegel 1941 Folge 30 8 mm.
