This is an absolutely authentic half liter Third Reich mug made of glass and pewter with an engraved lid that was presented to some dignitary or notable member by SA Sturm 42/R.S.1 at Christmas of 1936.
There is no name on the beer stein but it is of a type that was considerably more expensive than the stoneware steins that are much more commonly seen. On the right side of the back of the stein, the glass is engraved or etched with 10/20 L which signifies the capacity of the glass is one half liter. There are four blue glass dots with stems applied to the outside surface that are an integral part of the glass.The deeply engraved hinged lid is attached in the standard fashion to the glass handle of the beer mug. The bottom of the handmade glass mug was lapped flat when manufactured and the lapped portion has many scratches on it indicating considerable use.
Other than minor surface scratches we can find only a single small chip on the INSIDE of the lip. Otherwise this Nazi SA beer mug is in fine used condition with a nice patina on both the pewter metal and the glass.NAZI SA GLASS BEER MUG
