This is the smallest old leather German attaché cases that we purchased in Germany many years ago from a lady from whom we also bought a SS visor cap. We were told by the lady that all the pieces were "movie props" but we bought them anyway as perfect curios.
We can't even prove that this old brown leather briefcase was used in a TV program about the Wannsee Conference, but it would certainly have looked the part. The front of the locking bag is deeply and beautifully embossed with a 3-3/4 inch SS eagle clutching a wreath and swastika, with the letters RF and SS runes below the wings.

Inside the flap the front has a stamp saying C. TESCH BERLIN N4 1938 and another with an eagle and swastika above SS runes and II5. The nickel plated brass lock open and works well. We do not have a key for the lock but we would guess it should be a relatively easy mater to buy one or have one made.
The brown leather is nice and supple and the case is really in nice condition. It would look perfect as part of a uniform display or other display and we offer it as a curio for that sort of purpose.
It is difficult to find a photo of anybody standing still with a briefcase in Third Reich Germany, (especially after 20 July 1944) probably for security reasons. For reference purposes the previously unpublished photo here shows an adjutant with a slightly larger size briefcase, actually in motion, as Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini get off the train at Rastenburg.
