This issue celebrates the 5th anniversary of the Dornier Aircraft Company residential community of Manzell on the west side of the city of Friedrichshafen, reports on factory sports activity and other news from the company’s many manufacturing facilities, profiles a couple of longtime Dornier employees, lists employee deaths and even shows photographs of some Dornier airplanes.

ENVELOPE 1944
A -1/4 x 6-3/8 inch light blue envelope dated 26 June 1944, addressed to a pilot named Zirna in the Ballistics Department of the Reichsluftfahrtministerium (State Air Ministry) at the Henschel Aircraft Research Facilities in Berlin-Johannisthal. The empty envelope is opened at the top and bears a 8 Pfennig Adolf Hitler and two 25th Anniversary of German Air Mail Service 12+8 Pfennig Nazi postage stamps.

1939 Berlin Auto Show stamps

SPECIAL VOLKSWAGEN
AND MERCEDES-BENZ
NAZI STAMPS CANCELED AT
THE 1939 BERLIN AUTO SHOW
There were three new German postage stamps issued specifically at the time of the Internationale Automobil - und Motorrad-Ausstellung (International Automobile & Motorcycle Exhibition) in Berlin in 1939 and we offer all three of them here as special philatelic cancellations.

The stamps are a 25 pfennig blue stamp featuring the new Kraft durch Freude (KdF) Car or “Volkswagen”, a 12 pfennig red stamp featuring the world speed record setting Mercedes-Benz and Auto-Union race cars and a 6 pfennig green stamp that pictures the first Mercedes-Benz car. All three stamps were canceled on 17 February 1939 during the Berlin Auto Show on a special sheet measuring 4-1/8 x 5-3/4 inch, sponsored by Dresdner Bank.
