This is a very well-made 9 inch long thick black leather German bayonet frog made for the bayonet of a k98 military rifle. The sewing is complete and sturdy but still reinforced at four points with rivets and washers. The stud that holds the retaining strap around the handle of the bayonet in the frog is aluminum.
There is a 2-inch belt loop at the top and the entire thing is supple and in very good, used condition, exactly as shown in our clear, up-close pictures above. Weighs 2.9 ounces or 82.2 grams. NOT a modern reproduction!
