As in America, colorful point-of-purchase easel cards were supplied to retailers by manufacturers of consumer products for use in shop windows and inside of stores. The easel cards offered here are excellent examples, complete with their original stand-up easels.
VORSTEHER
As most collectors of Third Reich era material know, the tradename BEVO is commonly applied to any web-woven Nazi insignia like armbands, eagles and swastikas, collar tabs, etc. The name was actually a registered tradename of Bandfabrik Ewald Vorsteher, a large weaving company from Wuppertal, which used it along with their squirrel tradaemark. Vorsteher also owned a weaving company in the 7th district of Wien (Vienna) where they used the same technology to manufacture very fashionable brassieres, girdles and underwear.
The Vorsteher chipboard easel card we offer here measures about 6-3/8 x 9-7/8 inches and has an easel built-in to the backside. The backside of the advertising card is somewhat dirty, but the front side is in very good condition.

ELIDA
Elida was a major Third Reich manufacturer of cosmetic soap and the easel card we offer here advertises their “Round” Perfumed Beauty Soap utilizing the likeness of a beautiful woman that would easily have sold soap in America. The chipboard measures about 8-7/8 x 11-5/8 inches and has an easel built-in to the backside.
The backside of the advertising card is stained and there are some smudges on the front side, but overall we would call the condition good+.

HJ DIANA AIR RIFLES
This is a colorful Nazi period advertising easel for Diana Air Rifles as used by the Hitlerjugend (HJ or Hitler Youth). It measures approximately 6-7/8 x 11-7/8 inches and has a diecut, fold-out easel on the back. The text says Diana - Our Practice Rifle. The front surface of the advertising is cracked down the center but is not terribly obvious when the item is standing a few feet away. Other than the crack, it is in very good condition. Some pencil writing on the back.
